From Br.Ramananda's repertoire
Once during his tenure as secretary, Ma was scheduled to give an interview to a prestigious magazine. The reporter was to arrive at anytime and Ma was deeply absorbed in her work. Brother was a wee bit concerned about Ma's 'appearance' as she was going on print as Head of a large international body and her sandals were slightly scuffed and her chuddar a bit faded. He was thinking all this, and "as usual",he said,"Ma read my thoughts. And just asked me to stay calm". Finally the appointed hour came and Brother went out in the lobby to greet the reporter, and to wait for Ma to join them. And as he waited in the lobby and "it was barely a few moments/minutes" since he had left Ma alone with her work, and in she kind of 'waltzed' with "a complete makeover". Her cotton robe was silk, her hair was absolutely coiffed in place, and shoes shiny and polished. And as she walked past him, she gave him an amused sideways glance and said, "So Brahmachari, how do i look?"
