My Story of Stress and Anxiety

How do I know all this? Because I’m just like you. I have struggled with anxiety all my life. Sure, I was very successful in school and work, but I never felt relaxed about it.

Deep inside, I feared goofing up or making a fool of myself. Basically, I dreaded not being perfect!

A potentially serious illness when I was in my early 20’s led to my first glimpse of the power of the mind.

After numerous tests, tons of pills, and months of worrying, I was fortunate to find a doctor that recommended a natural approach. I learned to use several natural stress reduction techniques and gradually my health improved.

But soon the pressures of a busy life led me to fall back into my old habit patterns. I couldn’t seem to find the time to practice all the relaxation techniques I had learned, and eventually I again found myself feeling totally stressed out, mentally and physically.

About that time I experienced the start of a huge mental transformation when I watched a Deepak Chopra special on TV. His talk inspired me to want to develop the incredible untapped power of my mind.

He told how all the cells in our body are replaced within a period of days, weeks, or months, and within a few years we have an entirely new body.

Given that fact, how can we continue to experience a chronic health condition?

If the cells in an arthritic knee or an inflamed liver are replaced every few months or years, why do we still have the same painful condition 20 years later? Why do the brand-new cells behave like the old, dysfunctional cells?

The Power of the Mind

Our mind supervises the body factory, and each new cell is stamped with our current state of consciousness. If you believe a certain health condition is permanent then it very likely will be.

On the other hand, we can also use the power of the mind to heal and rejuvenate ourselves, physically and mentally. By changing your thoughts and attitudes, you can gradually change your body as well!

A happy, positive mental outlook is vital to creating the life you want. Not only do stress and anxiety take a huge toll on your health, but they also prevent you from using the full power of your mind to improve every aspect of your life.
